To assist the Greens Staff at West End Golf Club in Halifax, the club has made a major purchase of John Deere equipment, with speed of operation and high quality presentation of the course being a priority, the machines purchased now enable the club to maximise labour and concentrate fully on producing high quality Greens & Fairways.

The benefits of light and frequent top dressing are undeniable. Applications can be completed on the average green in less than two minutes each. For the Club it means never having to shut down the course or eliminate rounds. For golfers the impact of the application is barely noticeable and often results in immediately improving green speed.

The ProPass 180 is a low impact broadcast-type top dresser suitable for regular treatment of all quality fine turf surfaces.

Recently held Golf Day at Wheatley Golf Club, Doncaster.

We had a selection of around 54 Greenkeepers and Commitee Members attend the day, with presentations from John Deere, John Deere Credit and Pete Sumner from Wheatley Golf Club plus a tour of the Greenkeepers Sheds and then Golf in the afternoon, the weather was absolutely glorious and the day was finsihed of with an evening meal and drinks.

Presentations were made to the winners (Hickleton Golf Club) and the runners up, sadly no one won the hole in one prize of a brand new John Deere Gator, other than that we had a great day and thanks to all who attended.

Sheffield Council add more John Deere Equipment.

Sheffield Council have just purchased another 6 John Deere 3320 Compact Tractors, 3 tractors supplied with cutter decks & Front Loaders and 3 tractors supplied with the Sisis Wrap round Gang Units. A John Deere 900 Triple Mower has also been purchased, this along with their HPX Gator order earlier this year, makes for a substantial commtiment to John Deere and Bob Wild Grass Machinery.

After the evlauation process that Melvyn Riley and his team went through testing most of the other tractors and attachments in the market place, it was with great pride, satisfaction and achievement that Sheffield placed their confidence with ourselves and John Deere.

After running approximately 30% of John Deere equipment over the last 5 years and after a 6-8 week demonstration and trialing programme, Wheatley Golf Club have signed a new 5 year Preferred Supplier Agreement with us.

The entire fleet of equipment on the golf course is now John Deere apart from some of the ancilliary equipment which we also supplied. We are very pleased to be associated with Wheatley Golf Club and even more pleased to have been chosen as the Preferred Supplier. The work and effort that the greens department and committee have put into evaluating all the equipment and the dealers, has been intense.

John Deere HPX Diesel 4x4 Gator

John Deere's new HPX Diesel 4x4 Gator utility vehicle has won 4x4 Magazine's Pick-up of the Year 2007 Award for Best ATV.

Organised annually by Britain's best-selling 4x4 magazine, the award was based on a week's test drive in the challenging environment of a Welsh forest in Bala, Snowdonia. The HPX Gator was the only one of the four commercial utility vehicles tested to be given a five-star review by the magazine's experienced team.

The judges' verdict concluded: "The Gator's detailing and hydroformed steel frame put it out in front of the sector. High build quality, ease of use and a reassuring stability off-road count for a lot; put to the test on off-road terrain, the actual operating experience enabled us to determine the subtle nuances between a good working vehicle and a truly top-class machine. The finished article more than matched the professional image."

New Delivery for Pennine Housing, Halifax

Pennine Housing (Halifax) taking delivery of a New John Deere X748 4 wheel drive Tractor fitted with a 48" rear discharge cutter deck and front end loader.
The requirement was for the smallest 4 wheel drive tractor available with front loader, to help with maintenance and loading on the housing associations contracts.

Another order has also been placed for a larger John Deere 2520 Tractor c/w front loader for one of the associations other areas.

Transport Department at Full Stretch Delivering New Equipment.

Our transport department has been at full stretch delivering new equipment to Golf Clubs and Local Authorities, here you can see 4 new John Deere X320 tractors being delivered to Kirklees Council, this is an addition to their fleet of 40 Small John Deere LX Tractors which you can see all over the Kirklees area.

Also we have recently delivered 6 new John Deere 1445 Outfront Mowers, 3 to Bradford Council and 3 to Glendale Managed Services.

Sheffield City Council purchase a new fleet of 9 John Deere HPX Gators.

After the detailed evaluation of many other Utility Vehicles available , the HPX Gator was the the preferred purchase option, fitted with optional weld mesh extension side and painted with Sheffield City Council corporate colours.

Sheffield Business Park take delivery on John Deere 3320.

Sheffield Business Park (Sheffield Airport) have just taken delivery
of a new John Deere 3320 tractor c/w front loader, mid mounted cutter
deck and a rear mounted Bearcat Woodchipper, this equipment is to help
transform and maintain the Parks developing green site areas.

New purchase for Headley Golf Club.

Delivery of new John Deere 2653a Triple Mower to Headley Golf Club,
Thornton, Bradford, another addition to their John Deere Fleet. The unit
is for use on Fairways, Tees & Surrounds on this compact 9 hole course.

Latest Deliveries to Leeds Council.

A delivery of 11 John Deere 2653a Triple Mowers recently taken by Leeds
Council for use in their Parks Department. Leeds Council have also taken 6
John Deere HPX 4x4 Diesel Gators as general utility vehicles throughout
2006.

Some Recent Deliveries.

Ryburn Golf Club taking delivery of their new John Deere 997 Zero Turn
Diesel Ride-on, Head Greenkeeper Grahame was amazed how quick any easy
this machine handled his semi rough and after hiring the machine for a
month decided he had to have one.

Huddersfield Golf Club (fixby) who recently took delivery of a new HPX
Gator, c/w ball protection cage to use on their newly developed golf
driving range, construction and reliability were major considerations when
purchasing this type of machine.

Alan Chappleow purchases a new Blec Groundbreaker and Sandmaster, another addition to his growing fleet of grounds maintenance equipment, already being used on football and rugby grounds to ease compaction and aid drainage, (I am sure Alan will need another Tractor soon).

Yorkshire Show Exhibition.

We exhibited at the Yorshire Show again this year with orders taken over
the 3 days for Tractors, Gators and some ancilliary equipment along with
the sale of John Deere Toys, this again was a great success for ourselves.

New purchase for Sheffield Tigers R.F.U.

Sheffield Tigers R.F.U. have updated their equipment with the purchase of
a used Iseki TK538 Tractor fitted with a new Lewis Front Loader and a new
1.8mtr Tomlin Roller Mower, this is a large investment for the club but
will improve the standard of the clubs playing surfaces.

Alan Chappleow of Calder Farm, Mirfield takes delivery of a John Deere 6320 Priemium Tractor.

Alan Chappleow of Calder Fram, Mirfield, takes delivery of another John Deere 6320 Priemium Tractor to pair up to his other John Deere which he purchased from ourselves in 2004. Alan is quickly growing his sportsfield contracting operation throughout West and South Yorkshire and is well equipped for Vertidraining/Sand spreading on sportsfield and golf courses, he is also involved with drainage and remiedial work plus the general maintence of many sports complexes.

John Deere HPX Wheel drive Gator to Thornber Properties Ltd.

Thornber Properties Ltd, at Cragg Vale, Mytholmroyd. take delivery of a new John Deere HPX Wheel drive Gator, to be used for general maintenance work and hauling equipment around their new rural business park.
